Before we took up this project, the children's home only had up to 2-3 hours of electricity per day. We were able to raise enough funds to set up a solar panel system there. Today, they enjoy electricity for most of the day.

Water Supply

The childrens' home only recieved 79 liters (20.87 gallons) per month, obviously not very much at all. We were able to fund for connection to the city water supply as well as installation of a proper well. Today, they have continuous water supply  daily.

The Youth Leadership Training Program (YLTP) is a course organized by the Art of Living organization and focuses on personal development and communication skills. Through stress-reducing breathing techniques, individuals find inner peace and communities to come together in a spirit of service. Participants are inspired to volunteer for rural projects, and the fruits of the seeds sown in the classroom can be experienceded by the community as a whole. We organized this program in Chandel in order to inspire youth leaders to make a change in their community
